Kerby Rodriguez’s Best Predictions for the WWE Elimination Chamber Betting Odds
By: Kerby Rodriguez
It is the final stop on the Road to Wrestlemania, which of course means it’s time to step into the hellish structure known as the Elimination Chamber. The Chamber’s placement in February/March on The Road to Wrestlemania has always made sense because after the Royal Rumble winner makes their decision on which World Champion to face we can use The Chamber to determine who gets the shot at the other World Title.
This year is no exception with a shot at the Raw Women’s Championship on the line inside The Chamber; we here have the betting odds and my predictions for who will head into Wrestlemania victorious on Sunday’s big event.
Raw Women’s Championship Odds Challenger Match
Asuka vs. Shayna Baszler vs. Ruby Riott vs. Liv Morgan vs. Sarah Logan vs. Natalya – Elimination Chamber Match; Winner will face Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship at Wrestlemania
Sometimes the WWE gets out in front of their skis and starts a feud before it’s supposed to; that was the case of Shayna Baszler and Becky Lynch. The Submission Magician showed up on Raw and attacked the champion and ever since Baszler and Lynch have been on a collision course of insults and brawls.
It is evident Shayna’s gonna face Becky for the championship, however WWE is asking us to suspend our disbelief (more than usual) and putting Shayna inside The Elimination Chamber to have her earn her title (rather than just ask for it; like Roman Reigns). Odd Makers know this, which is why Shayna leads the betting odds (-1400) over everyone else in the match [Asuka (+600), Ruby Riott (+1600), Liv Morgan (+2000), Natalya (+2500), Sarah Logan (+2500)]
If there ever was a safe bet heading into Sunday’s event Shayna Baszler is that bet, matter of fact when was the last time Shayna Baszler wasn’t the safe bet?
Intercontinental Championship Odds
Braun Strowman (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura, Cesaro and Sami Zayn – 3 on 1 Handicap Match for the Intercontinental Championship
On any normal fight the odds should favor the men fighting on a team against the man who’s fighting alone but when the man fighting alone is Braun Strowman those odds are defied. The Monster Among Men is favored to win his first defense of the Intercontinental Championship (-500) over Team Good Wrestling (Naka, Cesaro Zayn +300) and it makes sense. Strowman is still somewhat popular and this IC Title run could help restore some of his credibility, he’s not going to lose on his first defense. Now if only there was a way to restore Nakamura’s credibility.
WWE Elimination Chamber Odds: AJ Styles vs. Aleister Black – No Disqualification Match
Story time! I was part of the audience this past Monday on Raw at the Barclays Center. As it became clear that AJ Styles is on a collision course with The Undertaker almost everyone in our section expected The Deadman to show up and kick some butt. Alas, he didn’t.
We were disappointed until this match was announced for Elimination Chamber, now it made sense. Odds favor Aleister to win (-150) because the no disqualification rule opens the door for Taker to wreck havoc and teach some respect to The Phenomenal one in order to set up a Wrestlemania match, all of this while giving Black a much needed big win. Cheers all around.
