Survivor Series Betting Odds and Predictions

How the Addition of NXT Affects Survivor Series Betting Odds

It’s time for Brand Warfare; it’s time for Survivor Series. I’m a very big fan of the Brand vs. Brand story that they’ve ran with since 2016 and the addition of NXT this year has positioned Survivor

Series to perhaps be the best (and most anticipated) card WWE has put out this year. There is a lot to unpack on Sunday’s show, from three big World Championship matches to the cross brand Triple Threats that are looking to steal the show.

We’ve got the betting odds to get you ready for Sunday and my predictions to go along with them. It’s time to choose your team, are you Team Raw? Team Smackdown? Or Team NXT? Let’s dive in…

WWE Championship Odds at Survivor Series

Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Rey Mysterio – No Holds Barred Match for the WWE Championship

Origin story time, I started watching WWE when I was 10 years old. I remember being up on a Sunday Night and stumbling into a Spanish Encore of Smackdown in my local tv station in Puerto Rico. I saw both Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero doing their thing and I fell in love. My wrestling fandom was born out of the amazingness of Rey Mysterio and I’ve been a fan of him ever since.

The reason I’m telling you this story is because my gut is telling me that Rey is winning the WWE Championship on Sunday. There’s something in the air, the timing feels right and the story feels perfect. The betting odds of course favor Lesnar (-400) over Mysterio (+250) and of course Lesnar is always a safe bet but as a wrestling fan I feel it would just be wrong to not give Rey one last run with the title as a thank you for his years of service. And what better way for Rey to finally win the big one than by defeating the same man Eddie defeated 15 years ago to win his first title. I’m team Mysterio all the way.

WWE Women’s Brand Supremacy Triple Threat Odds at Survivor Series

Raw Women’s Champ Becky Lynch vs. Smackdown Women’s Champ Bayley vs. NXT Women’s Champ Shayna Baszler – Brand Supremacy Triple Threat Match

What a match this is on paper. One of the highlights of the build up to both Survivor Series and NXT War Games (which takes place on Saturday) has been watching how strong the WWE Women’s Division is. The Women have gotten the spotlight in such a prominent way and this is one of the most anticipated matches on Sunday. The current odds for this match are as followed: Becky (+150), Bayley (+200), Shayna (+110).

If you’ve been watching WWE for the past year you know the safe bet here is THE MAN; Becky Lynch. The dark horse however—in my opinion—is Baszler. She has been just as dominant as Becky has been over on NXT during the past year and as much as I like what Bayley’s been doing since embracing her new persona a couple months ago this match boils down to Baszler and Lynch for me.

Universal Championship Match Odds at Survivor Series

Bray Wyatt (c) vs. Daniel Bryan – Universal Championship Match

The Fiend is finally the World Champion (well… Universal) and his first defense comes against a reforming Daniel Bryan. The story here has been that Bryan is slowly becoming a babyface again and his battle with The Fiend will lead to Bryan reviving the YES! Movement. It’s truly been a wonderful story to watch unfold over the past couple of weeks. The odds here favor Wyatt (-600) over Bryan (+350) and it makes sense; this is Wyatt’s first title defense and it seems like they’re going all in with him as World Champion.

This also feels like the first step in the slow rebuilding of Bryan after spending a year as a heel. So the way this match is set up Bray needs the win and for the build up of a better story, Bryan needs the loss. The odds indicate that and I agree with them.

Last Thoughts and Impressions on WWE’s 2019 Survivor Series

This Sunday promises to be a memorable night. I covered three huge matches here and I still didn’t scratch the surface on how incredible this card can be (Keep an eye out for AJ/Shinsuke/Roddy cause that might steal the whole show).

So who are you rooting for on Sunday? (I’m lowkey Team Smackdown every single year) and who do ya’ll think will be the SUPREME BRAND come next week? We’ll find out Sunday at Survivor Series.
