City hit back under 20 minutes later as Gabriel Jesus finished off a great piece of skill to get past Trent Alexander-Arnold and finish past Alisson. The hosts were given a golden chance to go ahead as they were awarded a penalty a few minutes before half-time.
Kevin De Bruyne stepped up and to everyone’s surprise, put the penalty wide and didn’t even test Alisson.
The draw kept Liverpool second favorites to win the 2020/21 EPL Title according to sportsbooks where their odds open at +163.
Arsenal EPL Title Odds for Gameweek Nine
Arsenal were out-fought, out-matched and out-classed by Aston Villa who embarrassed them 3-0 on Arsenal’s turf.
It was a performance reminiscent of the last days of Arsene Wenger’s reign and the entirety of Unai Emery’s stint in charge. It was Arsenal’s fourth loss of the season and second at home.

Manchester City EPL Odds: The Favorites… For Now?
Manchester City may find themselves unlucky to leave the Etihad with just a point in a 1-1 draw with Liverpool after Kevin De Bruyne missed a penalty.
It was an evenly matched game, but City had the opportunity to go 2-1 ahead in the first half with the penalty that De Bruyne shockingly put wide.
The draw means that City sit 10th in the table with a game in hand and they’ve yet to score consecutive wins in the Premier League this season. City have also scored just one goal in each of their last five games as the loss of Sergio Aguero to injury as hurt their goalscoring ability.
City however remain favorites to win the EPL title for the third week in a row at +150.
After going two games without a win, a 3-1 win against Everton eased the pressure on Manchester United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Bruno Fernandes scored a brace and Edinson Cavani netted his first goal in Manchester United colors to condemn Everton to their third loss in a row.
Despite the win, Manchester United remain a lowly 14th in the table with a game in hand.
Manchester United’s odds to win the title now sits at +2500, only the fifth-best in the Premier League.
Chelsea followed up their 3-0 rout of Burnley with a 4-1 thrashing of Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea had four different scorers in Tammy Abraham, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and Timo Werner to extend Chelsea’s unbeaten record to six games.
With the introduction of Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell and Edouard Mendy to Chelsea’s backline, not only have their defensive performances massively improved with three clean sheets in their last five league games as well as Chelsea yet to concede after three games in the Champions League but they’ve also added goals.
Kurt Zouma, Chilwell and Silva have contributed to six goals already this season, the highest in the division among defenders.
Chelsea possess the third-best odds to win the 2020/21 EPL Title this season at +800.
Tottenham Hotspur so far look like Liverpool’s closest rivals for the Premier League title as they rose to second in the league after their 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion. Harry Kane’s late winner was enough for all three points with Tottenham now on a three-match winning streak.
The North London club look to be a real contender for the Premier League crown this season however we will learn just how real their credentials are as they face Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool in four of their next five league games in clashes that could define their season.
For now, Spurs’ title odds sit at +900, the third highest in the Premier League.
