Chicago Blackhawks Odds
The Chicago Blackhawks bid to stave off elimination for the second consecutive contest on Tuesday when they play Game 5 of their best-of-seven Western Conference first-round series versus the Vegas Golden Knights in Edmonton.
Corey Crawford saved the Blackhawks’ bacon by recording 48 saves in Sunday’s 3-1 win, joining Hockey Hall of Famer Tony Esposito as the lone goaltenders in franchise history (since 1955-56) to stop at least 40 shots when facing elimination on three occasions.
Defenseman Duncan Keith set up Matthew Highmore’s goal in the first period to take sole possession of fifth place in playoff assists in franchise history with 68. Captain Jonathan Toews, who shares the team-leading totals in goals (four) and points (eight) this postseason, has just one assist in this series.
Vegas Golden Knights odds
The Vegas Golden Knights look to rebound from their first loss of the playoffs on Tuesday when they play Game 5 of their best-of-seven Western Conference first-round series against the Chicago Blackhawks in Edmonton.
Vegas was held under two goals for the first time in August following its 3-1 setback in Game 4 on Sunday, trimming its series lead to 3-1. Defenseman Shea Theodore scored his team-leading fourth goal of the postseason and second in the series after his shot from the point slipped past Corey Crawford in the first period the Golden Knights’ for lone goal.
Robin Lehner yielded two goals on 24 shots to absorb his first loss since Feb. 19, one start prior to being traded from Chicago to Vegas.
