Arizona Coyotes Odds
The Arizona Coyotes look to take the first step in what they hope leads to unprecedented success for the franchise on Wednesday when they play Game 5 of their best-of-seven Western Conference first-round series against the Colorado Avalanche in Edmonton.
Arizona dropped a 7-1 decision on Monday to fall into a 3-1 deficit in the series. The Coyotes have not won any of their previous six series when trailing 3-1. Defenseman Jakob Chychrun scored on the power play during the second period on Monday, becoming the sixth member of the team to record his first career playoff goal this season.
Generating offense continues to be an issue for the Coyotes, who were held to just 15 shots in Game 4.
Colorado Avalanche Odds
The Colorado Avalanche aim to dispatch the upstart Arizona Coyotes on Wednesday when they play Game 5 of their best-of-seven Western Conference first-round series in Edmonton.
The Avalanche answered a 4-2 setback on Saturday with a resounding 7-1 win two days later, with Nazem Kadri collecting two goals and an assist to boost his point total to a team co-leading nine (four goals, five assists).
Hart Trophy finalist Nathan MacKinnon, who also has nine points (two goals, seven assists), set up a pair of goals to become the fifth different player in Quebec/Colorado franchise history to record a point streak of at least seven games from the start of a postseason. The Nordiques/Avalanche franchise has won 10 of its previous 12 best-of-seven series in which it held a 3-1 advantage.
