Green Bay Packers Odds
By all accounts, the Packers enjoyed a successful season in 2019. They posted a 13-3 record, won the NFC North for the first time since 2016 and advanced to the conference title game.
Then Green Bay selected Jordan Love late in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, thus lighting a fire under fellow quarterback Aaron Rodgers while placing him on the proverbial clock.
The two-time NFL MVP threw for at least 4,000 yards for the eighth time in his career and had 26 touchdowns against four interceptions in 2019. Rodgers has flustered Minnesota with 21 TDs versus three interceptions in 12 career games.
While Davante Adams (team-leading 83 catches, 997 yards) remains Rodgers’ most trusted target, Aaron Jones made his presence felt out of the backfield by tying for the NFL lead in rushing touchdowns (16) and scrimmage scores (19). Jones rushed for a career-high 154 yards in Green Bay’s 23-10 victory over Minnesota on Dec. 23.
Minnesota Vikings Odds
Dalvin Cook burst on the scene in 2019 and rolled up 1,654 scrimmage yards (1,135 rushing, 519 receiving) and 13 rushing touchdowns to help a 10-6 Minnesota squad advance to the playoffs for the second time in three seasons. Cook rushed for a career-high 154 yards and a touchdown in the Vikings’ 21-16 loss at Green Bay last Sept. A shoulder injury prevented Cook from facing the Packers in the rematch.
While the Vikings employ a run-heavy offense, their passing game can also move the sticks — although the club saw the departure of wideout Stefon Diggs (Buffalo).
Quarterback Kirk Cousins (career-high 107.4 passer rating in 2019) still has trusted target Adam Thielen, while first-round pick Justin Jefferson is expected to make noise during his rookie season.
Packers at Vikings Betting Pick
The last time we saw the Packers, they were run into the ground by San Francisco’s potent rushing attack in the NFC Championship Game.
Cook and the Vikings likely will try their luck in repeating the feat on Sunday against a Green Bay rush defense that surrendered an average of 120.1 yards per game.

Minnesota’s Danielle Hunter, who has recorded 14.5 sacks in back-to-back seasons, was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday.
That puts more pressure on newly acquired pass rusher Yannick Ngakoue (eight sacks in 2019), who signed a one-year, $12 million deal after spending four seasons in Jacksonville. If the Vikings can keep heat on Rodgers, they’ll spare their young secondary.
