Eight players out of 52 unanimously selected to NFL 2010s All-Decade Team

Earlier today, the NFL and the Pro Football Hall of Fame unveiled the roster for the 2010s All-Decade Team. 52 total players were selected to the team as well as two NFL Head Coaches (Bill Belichick and Pete Carroll). The team is comprised of 52 players and two NFL head coaches. Only players who made a Pro Bowl or were chosen to be an AP All-Pro or a player on the Pro Football Writers of America all-conference squad from 2010-2019 were eligible to make the team.

Some individuals who were left off the list include QB Drew Brees, Edge Rusher Terrell Suggs, TE Jason Witten, WR Deandre Hopkins, Edge Rusher DeMarcus Ware, OT Andrew Whitworth, and Head Coach Andy Reid.

The New England Patriots led the way with nine representatives, including Head Coach Bill Belichick. The Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals are tied for second place with six honorees each. Teams that were not represented on the list are the Los Angeles Chargers (the Chargers moved to LA in 2017), the New York Giants, and the Tennessee Titans.

Darren Sproles was the only player on the list to be selected for multiple positions. Sproles was chosen as the team’s flex offensive player and punt returner. He is just the fourth player in NFL All-Decade History to be honored at multiple positions. He joins Mel Gray (1990s), Deion Sanders (1990s), and Dante Hall (2000s) as the fourth dual honoree in All-Decade history.
