Indianapolis Colts Odds
The Indianapolis Colts have only one winning season in the past five years, and they will look to move past their recent struggles this season starting in Jacksonville.
Frank Reich posted a 10-6 record in his first season at the helm, but the Colts slipped to 7-9 last year in his second season.
Reich has a great new option this year in veteran quarterback Philip Rivers, who joined Indianapolis after spending 16 seasons with the San Diego-turned-Los Angeles Chargers. Rivers should like his offensive fit with the Colts, which includes dynamic wide receiver T.Y. Hilton. The Colts’ defense is far less of a sure thing.
Jacksonville Jaguars Odds
It is not easy to tank in the NFL, but the Jacksonville Jaguars might be willing to give it a shot. Jacksonville is coming off a 6-10 season under head coach Doug Marrone, and it brings in a slew of new players heading into this season.
Under normal circumstances, that might not necessarily be a bad thing, but 2020 has been anything but normal. The lack of preseason games and a traditional offseason never allowed the Jaguars’ new and young players to develop much chemistry.
One player who showed promise last season is quarterback Gardner Minshew II, who showed poise beyond his years after he stepped in for predecessor Nick Foles. Minshew threw 21 touchdowns compared with only six interceptions as a rookie, and he will look to build upon that success in his first full season as a starter.
Jaguars at Colts Betting Pick for Week 2
Rivers is not getting any quicker at age 38, but he has nearly two decades of experience to help with his decision making.
Look for him to stay calm, cool and collected as he looks to pick apart a Jaguars defense that could be overmatched by the Colts. Indianapolis also has a strong ground game featuring Marlon Mack and Jonathan Taylor, a rookie out of Wisconsin.

Colts at Jaguars Best Bet
The Colts have the ability to score big, and Rivers could be extra motivated in the first game of his long and decorated career with a team other than the Chargers. Add that to an unproven Jaguars defense, and it’s more likely than not that the teams will hit the over.
