Cardinals at Jets Betting Preview: Cardinals (-7/-110), Jets (+7/-110)
Arizona Cardinals
After a 2-0 start, Arizona has dropped back-to-back games against the Detroit Lions and Carolina Panthers. The Cardinals have a chance to climb back above .500 in the second installment of a three-game road trip.
Arizona will look to quarterback Kyler Murray to help snap its skid. Murray passed for three touchdowns last week but has endured an up-and-down start to the season with a mediocre 87.7 passer rating.
The Cardinals have allowed 23.0 points per game, which is tied for eighth-best in the NFL. Arizona is two games back in a competitive NFC West division and needs to reassert itself against the underdog Jets.
New York Jets
The Jets are one of four winless teams remaining in the NFL, alongside the Houston Texans, New York Giants and Atlanta Falcons. It has been an ugly start for embattled head coach Adam Gase’s club, whose closest margin of defeat was nine points last week against the Denver Broncos.
This week, Joe Flacco will make his first start with the Jets in place of Sam Darnold, who has a shoulder strain. Flacco has made 171 career starts but could be rusty in his first start in nearly a year. He came off the bench last week in his season debut and completed two pass attempts for 16 yards.
The Jets have been outscored 131-65 this season and come into Week 5 as heavy underdogs at home.
Cardinals at Jets Betting Pick for Week 5
Arizona has shown flaws during the past two weeks, but if there is ever an opportunity to get right, it will be against the hapless Jets amid a quarterback change. Flacco is competent, to be sure, but it remains to be seen whether he can establish a rhythm with his receivers in his first week as starter.
The Cardinals have a decent defense and a potentially high-powered offense if Murray is on his “A” game. Look for Arizona to put its two straight losses in the rearview mirror while adding scrutiny on the Jets’ Gase.

Cardinals at Jets Best Bet for Week 5
Arizona is capable of running up points thanks its dual-threat quarterback in Murray, not to mention a top-tier wide receiver in DeAndre Hopkins.
The Jets could get a boost from Flacco in his first start of the season, but at the end of the day they will not be able to keep pace with Arizona’s speed and skill. Regardless, look for a high-scoring affair between desperate teams.
