2021 Super Bowl Odds for Week 7: The Chiefs are Still Out in Front

Happy Thursday football fans and welcome back to our weekly discussion about the teams that are considered the favorites to win the big game in 2021. A week ago, the list of legitimate title contenders included the Seattle Seahawks, Baltimore Ravens, and the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs. Both the Ravens and Chiefs won their games while the Seahawks had a bye week.

So without further delay, here’s a look at the teams with the best Super Bowl odds based on their performances from Week 6.

Third-Best 2021 Super Bowl Odds: Seattle Seahawks (+750). Last Week (+800)

As previously stated, Seattle did not play in Week 6. But for those of us who may have been sleeping on this team, they are 5-0 for the first time in franchise history following a come-from-behind 27-26 victory against the Minnesota Vikings. In that contest, the Seahawks were shut out in the first half and trailed by five points late in the fourth quarter.

But thanks to a run defense that hadn’t played well the entire day, Seattle stopped the Vikings on a fourth-and-one before manufacturing a 94-yard scoring drive of their own, which provided the final margin of victory. The Seahawks are only one of three undefeated teams going into Week 7 and it wouldn’t be a surprise if they remain unbeaten with an upcoming outing against the Arizona Cardinals.

Second-Best 2021 Super Bowl Odds: Baltimore Ravens (+600). Last Week (+550)

The Baltimore Ravens’ odds dipped a bit from last week, but they still come at the No. 2 spot on our weekly list. In Week 6, they took on the Philadelphia Eagles – a team with just one win on its resume this season. Early on, it appeared the Ravens were going to cruise to an easy victory, as they led 17-0 at halftime and 24-6 after three quarters of action.

However, the Eagles came roaring back in the final frame to make things interesting, outscoring Baltimore by a 22-6 margin. Fortunately for the Ravens, they were able to stop Carson Wentz on a two-point conversion attempt with 1:55 remaining, allowing them to post their third consecutive victory and improve to 5-1 on the season.

Best 2021 Super Bowl Odds: Kansas City Chiefs (+400). Last Week (+350)

The Chiefs were hoping to get back into the win column following an unexpected 40-32 loss at the hands of the Las Vegas Raiders. While their recent outing didn’t include the kind of passing plays that fans have become accustomed to over the past few seasons, they still produced a 26-17 against a Buffalo Bills team that had won four of its first five games coming into the matchup.

Patrick Mahomes completed 21 of 26 passes for 225 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The Chiefs are now 5-1 for the third time in the last four seasons. And if they can continue to win games when opponents take away the deep passing plays, they will continue to be a dangerous team for the remainder of the season.
