Memphis Grizzlies Preview
The Memphis Grizzlies have lost their first two games of the NBA restart and they search to start a turnaround when they oppose the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday at the NBA bubble near Orlando.
The Grizzlies hold a two-game lead over San Antonio for the eighth spot in the West but didn’t help themselves by losing 108-106 to the Spurs on Sunday. Point guard Ja Morant was superb with 25 points, nine rebounds and nine assists and is averaging 23.5 points, 10 assists and seven boards in the two setbacks.
Forward Jaren Jackson Jr. is averaging 27 points in the bubble after scoring 21 against the Spurs. Memphis struggled while losing twice to the Pelicans earlier this season as it allowed an average of 132.5 points.
New Orleans Pelicans Preview
Star rookie Zion Williamson will likely again be on a minutes restriction when the New Orleans Pelicans face the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday in the NBA bubble near Orlando. Williamson returned to the practice floor last Tuesday after being away for a family situation and the club is being cautious with the 20-year-old.
Williamson played a total of 29 minutes in losses to the Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Clippers and is averaging 10 points and 2.5 rebounds. The Pelicans played poorly on Saturday as they trailed by as many as 42 points and allowed 25 3-points baskets in a 126-103 loss to the Clippers. All-Star small forward Brandon Ingram averaged 18.5 points in the two losses but connected on just 12 of 31 field-goal attempts.
