Dallas Mavericks Odds
Luka Doncic’s star is shining brighter than just about anybody’s in the NBA bubble. The 21-year-old Dallas Mavericks guard posted another triple-double in Game 4 and sank the game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer in overtime on Sunday to even the first-round series 2-2 against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Doncic stepped up with 43 points, 17 rebounds and 13 assists on a night when big man Kristaps Porzingis was out due to right knee soreness. Porzingis will be a game-time decision for Game 5, the same status Doncic had before Game 4 because of a sore left ankle.
Doncic had a league-high 17 triple-doubles in the regular season and has two consecutive in the current series. Trey Burke had 25 points in Game 4 on 10-of-14 shooting (4-for-5 from 3-point range).
Los Angeles Clippers Odds
Paul George’s shooting woes are going on three games now as the Los Angeles Clippers small forward is a combined 10 of 47 (21.3 percent) from the field after the opener of the first-round playoff series against the Dallas Mavericks and 4 of 25 (16 percent) from 3-point range.
In Game 5 on Tuesday, the Clippers need much more than the two points, one rebound and one assist they received from key reserve Montrezl Harrell in 17 minutes of Game 4. Harrell’s bench partner Lou Williams picked up the slack with 36 points in 34 minutes.
After the Mavericks shot 50 percent from the field in Game 4, Clippers coach Doc Rivers called his defense “passive.” Los Angeles guard Patrick Beverley (calf) is doubtful for Game 5.
