Portland Trail Blazers Odds
The Portland Trail Blazers can clinch a spot in the Western Conference play-in series with a win against the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday in the regular-season finale.
The Trail Blazers, who are 5-2 in the bubble, are vying with the Memphis Grizzlies, Phoenix Suns and San Antonio Spurs for spots in the series between the Nos. 8 and 9 seeds that begins Saturday. Damian Lillard has shined during the restart, averaging 37 points on 48.5 percent (80-for-165) shooting, including 41.4 percent accuracy (36-for-87) from 3-point range.
For the season, Lillard is averaging a career-best 29.8 points and is just the second player in league history with three 60-point games in a season. Jusuf Nurkic has averaged 27.3 points and 12 rebounds in his past four games against Brooklyn.
Brooklyn Nets Odds
Assured of the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs, the Brooklyn Nets will look to remain on a roll entering the postseason as they close the regular season Thursday against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Starters Caris LeVert, Jarrett Allen, Joe Harris and Garrett Temple sat Tuesday during Brooklyn’s 108-96 win against Orlando, but depth helped the Nets improve to 5-2 since the restart. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot scored 24 points vs. the Magic. Three of his four 20-point games this season have come in the bubble.
Jamal Crawford (strained left hamstring) is out for the Thursday game. When the Nets beat the Blazers 119-115 on Nov. 8, Brooklyn’s top scorers were Spencer Dinwiddie (34 points) and Kyrie Irving (33), neither of whom is playing in the bubble.
