Washington Wizards Odds
The last chance to earn a victory in the NBA bubble near Orlando arrives for the Washington Wizards on Thursday when they face the Bostin Celtics. The Wizards are 0-7 since the NBA’s restart, not surprising since they are without John Wall (Achilles) and Bradley Beal (shoulder).
The most attention they have received since the league came back online arrived Tuesday when Moritz Wagner took something of a light head-butt from Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo. Antetokounmpo was ejected and given a one-game suspension.
Troy Brown Jr. started at point guard for the Wizards on Tuesday and went 3 of 15 from the field, finishing with nine points and three assists.
Boston Celtics Odds
Having already secured the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs, the Boston Celtics have nothing to play for Thursday when they meet the Washington Wizards, and it will show in their lineup.
The Celtics, who will be matched up with the sixth-seeded Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the playoffs, will sit out Jayson Tatum, Kemba Walker, Jaylen Brown, Gordon Hayward, Daniel Theis and Marcus Smart on Thursday. Tatum is averaging 22.4 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game during the restart.
Walker will miss his third game in the bubble, and he hasn’t topped 32 minutes in central Florida. With a victory from the reserves, Boston would match last season’s win total of 49 in 10 fewer games.
