Heat at Celtics Betting Preview: Heat (+2.5/-110), Celtics (-2.5/-110)
Miami Heat Odds
The fifth-seeded Heat have had the magic going the entire postseason with nine wins in 10 games and now look to take a 2-0 series lead over the Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals. Miami entered the fourth quarter of Game 1 down by 12 points and overcame it en route to a 117-114 overtime victory.
Goran Dragic continued his electric postseason with 29 points but the biggest play came courtesy of standout center Bam Adebayo, who stuffed Jayson Tatum’s dunk at the rim with 3.7 seconds left and the Heat leading by two points.
Adebayo contributed 18 points, nine assists and six rebounds while Dragic was one of three Heat players to reach at least 20 points — Jae Crowder (22) and Jimmy Butler (20) were the others. Butler helped the Adebayo rejection matter with a clutch 3-pointer and another three-point play in crunch time.
Boston Celtics Odds
The Celtics look to rebound from a disappointing opener saturated in fourth quarter regrets. They aim to even the Eastern Conference finals against the Heat at one game apiece.
Third-seeded Boston held a 12-point lead entering the fourth quarter but was outplayed badly in what turned into a 117-114 overtime loss. Veteran Kemba Walker scored 19 points but was highly dejected after a 6-for-19 shooting effort that marked his third straight substandard shooting game. Walker is just 13 of 46 from the field and 3 of 22 from 3-point range during the stretch.
Boston is hoping small forward Gordon Hayward (ankle) can return within the next few days with Thursday’s game still rating as a possibility. Tatum had 30 points and 14 rebounds while reaching the 30-point mark for the fourth time this postseason.
Heat at Celtics Betting Pick for Game 2
This series figures to be a close back-and-forth battle between two teams with upper-echelon competitiveness. Boston packs more motivation to avoid the 0-2 hole and you can count on the Celtics making the big plays late in this game, no matter where Adebayo is stationed on defense.

Heat at Celtics Best Bet for September 17, 2020
The teams combined for 231 points in the opener, which included 19 in the extra session. That should be a trend in the series as both teams have players who can go hot streaks from the 3-point line. In Game 1, that was Boston’s Marcus Smart with six 3-pointers and Miami’s Jae Crowder with five.
Heat at Celtics Best Bet: OVER 208.5 points (-110)
