Chicago Cubs Odds
On the verge of a second straight shutout loss Saturday night, the Cubs stunned previously
unhittable Brewers closer Josh Hader with four runs in the ninth for a 4-2 win. Jason Heyward
clubbed a three-run shot and Ildemaro Vargas followed with a solo blast.
It was fitting that Heyward delivered the game-winning hit, because he’s been one of the few
consistent bats in a lineup that has struggled for traction at times. Heyward is hitting .283 with
six homes and 20 RBI while walking almost as much as he fans.
Right-hander Alec Mills (4-3, 4.74) is coming off six shutout innings Tuesday night in a 3-0 win
over Cincinnati. He had allowed 21 runs in his prior five starts.
Milwaukee Brewers Odds
What a crushing loss for the Brewers Saturday night, one that dropped them to five games
behind the Cubs. Even with four games in hand, Milwaukee is going to have a difficult time
making up that ground with just two weeks left in the season.
Offense was once again a problem for the Brewers as they managed just two runs, both coming
off a Ryan Braun homer in the fourth. Braun is hitting just .226, but has shown signs of life
lately. The former NL MVP needs a huge finish.
Adrian Houser (1-4, 5.48) hasn’t won in his last six starts, allowing a whopping 25 runs in that
span. That includes an 8-3 loss Tuesday night in Detroit.
Cubs at Brewers Betting Pick for September 13, 2020
The Cubs continue to do just enough to hold off the Cardinals and Brewers in the NL Central.
This is Milwaukee’s last crack at them this year; a win is pretty much a must.
This could be a day for struggling Brewers star Christian Yelich to find a groove and lift his team
to a big victory.
Cubs at Brewers Betting Pick: Cubs (+110), Brewers (-130)

Cubs at Brewers Best Bet for September 13, 2020
Miller Park is a good place to hit, but you wouldn’t know it from watching this series this
weekend. The teams have combined for seven runs in two games. There should be a bit more
offense in the series finale, but probably not enough to play the over with any sort of confidence.
Cubs at Brewers Best Bet: Teams under 9.5 runs total in the game.
