New York Yankees Odds
The New York Yankees will play the first of three doubleheaders in a five-day span when they visit the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday. Aaron Judge will be back from a calf injury that kept him out since Aug. 11.
He homered in his last game before landing on the injured list, his ninth of the season. Gerrit Cole, owner of a 20-game winning streak, will start the first game. His winning streak is tied for the third-longest all-time, and he is 20-0 with a 1.97 ERA in his past 28 starts.
Cole struck out 10 and gave up two runs in 6 2/3 innings while taking a no-decision against the Tampa Bay Rays on Aug. 19. He is 3-1 with a 3.19 ERA in five career starts against Atlanta.
Atlanta Braves Odds
The Atlanta Braves will play their second doubleheader of the season Wednesday when they host the New York Yankees. Atlanta will also welcome Ronald Acuna Jr. back to the lineup after the outfielder missed two weeks due to a wrist injury.
Nick Markakis is also back after being sidelined following a possible exposure to the coronavirus. Top prospect Ian Anderson, 22, will start the opener for the Braves in his major league debut. Anderson was 8-7 with a 3.38 ERA in 26 starts last year between Double-A and Triple-A combined. He struck out 172 and walked 65 in 135 2/3 innings.
The Braves selected him with the third overall pick in the 2016 draft out of Shenendehowa High School in Clifton Park, N.Y.
