Golden State Warriors Preview
The Golden State Warriors’ latest losing slide is a six-game streak they will take into Friday’s road game against the Los Angeles Clippers. It is the Warriors’ fourth losing streak of at least four games. Golden State is facing the Clippers for the first time since losing 141-122 against them in its first game of the season.
The Warriors did well to hold the Milwaukee Bucks to 107 points at home on Wednesday, but they scored just 98 themselves, the 12th time they have been held under 100. Draymond Green returned Wednesday after sitting out Monday’s defeat to the Sacramento Kings with a sprained right ankle.
Los Angeles Clippers Preview
Stuck in a malaise, the Los Angeles Clippers will play host to the Golden State Warriors on Friday looking to start a winning run. The Clippers have not won more than two consecutive games since a four-game winning streak Dec. 8-13. They are 6-5 since, but will enter Friday off a 135-132 victory over the New York Knicks, although that win only raised questions about team defense.
Kawhi Leonard did not play in the second game of a back-to-back. The Clippers did have three players score at least 30 points in Montrezl Harrell, Lou Williams and Paul George, the first time that has ever happened.
