Phoenix Suns at Los Angeles Lakers

Phoenix Suns Preview

After five losses in their past six games, the Phoenix Suns hit the road for a matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers. The Suns’ most recent defeat came Saturday at home in a 117-108 loss to the Denver Nuggets. Deandre Ayton had 28 points with 19 rebounds, while Devin Booker had 21 points on just 5-of-16 shooting.

Ayton now has 1,000 rebounds in fewer than 100 career games. The Suns will search for the form that propelled them to a 127-91 victory Friday against the Houston Rockets, or what led them to a 133-104 victory on the road Jan. 28 against the Dallas Mavericks.

Los Angeles Lakers Preview

After holding on for a victory at Golden State on Saturday, the Los Angeles Lakers return home for a Monday matchup against the Phoenix Suns. It will be the sixth consecutive game in California for the Lakers, with one game against the Clippers postponed after the death of Kobe Bryant.

The Lakers are 3-2 in the stretch, winning road games at Sacramento and against the Warriors. Anthony Davis scored 27 points and added 10 rebounds as the Lakers held on for the 125-120 victory Saturday. They are 2-0 against the Suns this season, most recently defeating them at home 117-107 on New Year’s Day.
