San Antonio Spurs Preview
The San Antonio Spurs will play their second game in two nights at Los Angeles on Tuesday when they take on the Lakers. The Spurs led by as many as 15 points on Monday against the Clippers, and San Antonio was up five late in the game before falling 108-105. The Spurs didn’t hit a shot from the field in the first 6:20 of the second half as the Clippers rallied.
LaMarcus Aldridge led San Antonio with 27 points while DeMar DeRozan added 26. The Spurs were playing the opener of their eight-game road trip while the annual rodeo moves into their home arena. San Antonio is 0-2 against the Lakers this season.
Los Angeles Lakers Preview
In just their second home game since the death of Kobe Bryant on Jan. 26, the Los Angeles Lakers will play host to the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday. The Lakers earned a 129-113 victory Saturday at Sacramento behind 15 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists from LeBron James, who leads the NBA with an average of 10.7 assists per game.
Even with the victory, the Lakers are just 4-4 dating back to a loss to the Orlando Magic on Jan. 15. Anthony Davis has played in the past six games of that run, producing 23.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game, both under his season averages.
