San Francisco 49ers at Cincinnati Bengals- week2

San Francisco 49ers Odds

Joe Mixon had a breakout campaign last season for Cincinnati but his status is up in the air for the Bengals’ home game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Mixon left the season opener against the Seattle Seahawks with a sprained left ankle and there is no guarantee he’ll be on the field against the 49ers. Coach Zac Taylor has termed him “day-to-day” and said the injury could have been a lot worse. Mixon, who led the AFC with 1,168 rushing yards last season, rushed six times for 10 yards and caught two passes for seven yards before exiting. Giovani Bernard will start if Mixon can’t go.  ,

Cincinnati Bengals odds

The 49ers have their own backfield quandary after losing Tevin Coleman to a high sprain of his left ankle. San Francisco fears it might not have Coleman for multiple weeks and the game plan is for Matt Breida and Raheem Mostert to share the workload. The 49ers are hoping to see more production from quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo after he passed for just 166 yards in his first regular-season game since tearing the ACL in his left knee 11 1/2 months ago. The Bengals would like to see more of the Andy Dalton who passed for a career-best 418 yards in the opener. ,
