Washington Redskins at Green Bay Packers

Washington Redskins Preview

With the struggles of rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins, it stands to reason that the Washington Redskins will attack the Packers with their one-two punch of running backs Adrian Peterson and Derrius Guice. In last week’s win over Carolina, Guice ran for 129 yards, including a 60-yarder that fell just shy of the end zone, and Peterson ran for 99 yards. They powered a running game that piled up 248 yards. Green Bay’s run defense ranks 28th in yards per carry, and Peterson has tormented the Packers throughout his career — including 120 yards and two touchdowns in last year’s win in Washington.

Green Bay Packers Preview

Despite a 9-3 record, the Green Bay Packers are looking for their first win streak in more than a month as they host Washington on Sunday. Aaron Rodgers threw four touchdown passes last week against the Giants, leading a win after losses in two of the previous three games. Right tackle Bryan Bulaga surprisingly played just a week after sustaining a knee injury and helped keep the Giants’ top pass rusher, Markus Golden, from sacking Rodgers. It will be another big challenge for Bulaga this week against Washington’s Ryan Kerrigan, who has cleared concussion protocol and will play. Last week was Rodgers’ second this year with no sacks taken.
