Baltimore Ravens at Buffalo Bills

Baltimore Ravens Preview

Aiming for their ninth straight victory, the AFC-leading Baltimore Ravens take on a fellow postseason hopeful that is playing one of its biggest home games in years. The Buffalo Bills are seeking their first season of double-digit victories since 1999, and the Ravens figure things won’t go as seamlessly as their 47-3 victory at Buffalo in the 2018 regular-season opener.
Second-year quarterback Lamar Jackson needs 63 yards on the ground to set a new single-season NFL record for rushing yards by a quarterback. Michael Vick rushed for 1,039 yards in 2006. “It would be an honor. … Michael Vick is my favorite player, and for me to do such a thing is incredible,” Jackson said. The Ravens can clinch a playoff berth with a victory.

While the Ravens boast a dynamic dual-threat quarterback in Lamar Jackson, the Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen also has shown toughness as both a passer and ball carrier. “He’s a hard runner to bring down, so that’s going to be a big challenge for us,” Baltimore coach John Harbaugh said.
The Bills have won three straight and six of eight while remaining healthy for most of the season. Buffalo can clinch a playoff berth with a win, a Houston loss and a loss or tie by Oakland and Indianapolis. The Bills also remain in the hunt for the AFC East title with four games remaining.
