Over the past seven games, Purdue Boilermakers seniors Evan Boudreaux, Tommy Luce and Jahaad Proctor are combining to average 21.7 points per game while hitting 52.9 percent from the field and 20 of 40 from 3-point range. The three have a 1.53 assist-to-turnover ratio (23 assists/15 turnovers) in that span. In games when the senior class contributes 15-plus points, Purdue has an 8-2 record.

In all other contests, the Boilermakers are 6-10. The freshmen and sophomores have been vital as well. They have a total of 1,037 points (39.9 points per game), 58.1 percent of the team’s overall production. Coach Matt Painter is one win away from tying former Michigan State coach Jud Heathcote (336 victories) on the Big Ten’s all-time list.

Wisconsin Badgers Preview

The Wisconsin Badgers are coming off an 81-64 win at Nebraska on Saturday in which they made 15 shots from 3-point range on 31 attempts. Brad Davison made 8 of 11 shots from beyond the arc. It was the ninth time that Wisconsin, which is averaging 8.4 made 3-pointers a game, has hit double-digit shots from behind the arc this season.

The Badgers sank a school-record 18 from 3-point range in an 82-68 home win over Nebraska on Jan. 21. Wisconsin leads the Big Ten with seven Quadrant 1 wins, those contests viewed most favorably by the NCAA Tournament selection committee. Only four teams in the nation have more Quad 1 wins than Wisconsin.
