Zion Williamson will play his first NBA game at Los Angeles on Tuesday when the New Orleans Pelicans take on the Lakers. The dynamic rookie has averaged 22.8 points per game over his first 12 NBA games after returning from knee surgery. He had 28 points Sunday in the Pelicans’ 115-101 victory at Golden State, the most points he has scored in a road game in his brief career.

Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart will make their second visit to Los Angeles to face their former team after a 123-113 loss on Jan. 3. The Pelicans also fell to the Lakers 114-110 at home on Nov. 27.

Los Angeles Lakers Preview

Riding a five-game winning streak, the Los Angeles Lakers will now turn their focus to the visiting New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday. Lakers All-Star Anthony Davis has delivered some his best games this season against his former team, contributing 41 points and nine rebounds in a victory over the Pelicans in November, then amassing 46 points and 13 rebounds in a win over New Orleans in January.

The Lakers will enter off a 114-112 victory over the Boston Celtics on Sunday, when LeBron James scored the go-ahead basket with 30.4 seconds remaining. The Tuesday game will be played at Staples Center one day after Kobe Bryant’s public memorial was held in the arena.
