Green Bay Packers Preview

The Green Bay Packers look to make up for a severe regular-season beating when they visit the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday in the NFC Championship Game. The Packers were routed 37-8 by the host 49ers on Nov. 24 when quarterback Aaron Rodgers passed for a season-low 104 yards and the team totaled just 198 yards. Green Bay was on its game last weekend when it beat the Seattle Seahawks 28-23 in the NFC divisional round as wideout Davante Adams set a franchise-playoff-record with 160 receiving yards.

Versatile running back Aaron Jones rushed for two touchdowns against the Seahawks to continue a strong campaign in which he had 19 regular-season scores (16 rushing, three receiving). The Packers are in the NFC title game for the first time since the 2016 season.

San Francisco 49ers Preview

The San Francisco 49ers aim to defeat the visiting Green Bay Packers for the second time this season when the clubs meet in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday in Santa Clara, Calif. San Francisco’s defense dominated the Packers in a late-November meeting in which the 49ers rolled to a 37-8 triumph. The unit also was huge in last weekend’s 27-10 victory over the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC divisional round as it allowed just 147 total yards.

Rookie standout defensive end Nick Bosa recorded two of the 49ers’ six sacks against Minnesota. Star tight end George Kittle is nursing an ankle injury but is expected to be on the field on Sunday. San Francisco is in the NFC championship contest for the first time since the 2013 season.
