Denver Nuggets at Oklahoma City Thunder

Denver Nuggets Preview

The soaring Denver Nuggets aim to defeat the Thunder for the eighth straight time when they visit Oklahoma City on Friday night. Denver resumes play after the All-Star break with the second-best record (38-17) in the Western Conference, trailing the first-place Los Angeles Lakers by four games.

Point guard Jamal Murray is averaging 29 points on 57.1 percent shooting over the past five contests. All-Star center Nikola Jokic has 11 triple-doubles, one off last season’s career-best count. The Nuggets have been short-handed, but it is possible that trio of swingman Will Barton (knee), forward Michael Porter Jr. (ankle) and big man Mason Plumlee (foot) will all be available for Friday’s game.

Oklahoma City Thunder Odds Preview

The Oklahoma City Thunder look to continue their strong play when they resume play after the All-Star break with a Friday night clash against the visiting Denver Nuggets. Oklahoma City has won 10 of its past 13 games and is tied with the Dallas Mavericks for the sixth-best record (33-22) in the Western Conference.

Fueling the strong season have been three guards — Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (team-high 19.5 scoring average), Dennis Schroder (19.3) and Chris Paul (17.4 points, team-leading 6.7 assists). Forward Danilo Gallinari (19.3) was nearly dealt at the trade deadline, but he contributed again with 29 points on 12-of-18 shooting vs. the New Orleans Pelicans in the final outing before the break.
