New Orleans Saints Odds

The New Orleans Saints have found a winning formula while sweeping the three games in which Teddy Bridgewater has replaced injured QB Drew Brees. They have run the ball effectively, played exceptional defense, won the turnover battle, and Bridgewater has contributed without trying to be Brees-like. Bridgewater had his most productive game in a 31-24 victory against Tampa Bay last week, having the second four-touchdown game of his career and passing for more than 300 yards. Michael Thomas had 11 catches for 184 yards and two touchdowns and TE Jared Cook had his first touchdown. The defense held its second consecutive opponent to fewer than 260 yards and had six sacks, all by defensive linemen.

Jacksonville Jaguars odds

Like the Saints, the Jacksonville Jaguars are doing better than some might have expected in the wake of losing their starting quarterback. They are 2-2 in games rookie Gardner Minshew II has started since Nick Foles suffered a broken collarbone in the opener. Minshew has been very productive and passed for 374 yards but was responsible for three lost fumbles in a 34-27 loss at Carolina last week. Leonard Fournette followed his career-high 225 rushing yards in a win at Denver two weeks ago with 108 against the Panthers. But the defense, playing its second consecutive game without All-Pro CB Jalen Ramsey, gave up 445 yards, including 285 rushing. Ramsey (back) returned to practice on a limited basis Wednesday and could be available Sunday.
