Nashville Predators at Anaheim Ducks

Nashville Predators Preview

The Nashville Predators look to complete a sweep of their brief two-game road trip through California on Sunday when they visit the Anaheim Ducks. Captain Roman Josi continues to lead by example as he extended his point streak to a career-high nine games (seven goals, 10 assists) by setting up a pair of goals in Saturday’s 4-1 victory over Los Angeles.

Josi, who shares the team lead in goals (14) with Filip Forsberg and has club-best totals in assists (29) and points (43), collected a goal and an assist in the Predators’ 6-1 romp over the Ducks on Oct. 22. Anaheim native Rocco Grimaldi tallied in that contest and also scored and set up a goal versus the Kings as Nashville snapped a three-game losing streak.

Anaheim Ducks Preview

The Anaheim Ducks hope a return to the Honda Center will provide a cure for their ailing offense on Sunday as they open a three-game homestand against the Nashville Predators. The Ducks have mustered just five goals during their three-game skid (0-2-1), with Jakob Silfverberg accounting for two. The 29-year-old Swede followed up a goal in a 5-2 setback at Vegas on New Year’s Eve with his team-leading 15th tally in a 4-2 loss to Arizona two nights later.

Captain Ryan Getzlaf, who has been held off the scoresheet in eight straight games, has routinely taken Nashville to task in his career. The 34-year-old scored his team’s lone goal in a 6-1 setback on Oct. 22 to boost his point total to 45 (15 goals, 30 assists) in 41 career regular-season games against the Predators.
