New Orleans Pelicans Preview

The New Orleans Pelicans aim to halt a five-game losing streak when they host the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday. The Pelicans have struggled without No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson, who remains sidelined after preseason knee injury. New Orleans is fresh off losing back-to-back close games to the Oklahoma City.

Guard Jrue Holiday scored 26 points on Sunday in a 109-104 loss to the Thunder, and he has topped 20 points in seven of the past 10 games, improving his season average to 19.4. Center Derrick Favors has been away from the team due to his mother’s funeral, and it was unclear if he would return on Tuesday.
