The Tampa Bay Lightning look to return to their winning ways on Wednesday when they visit the Los Angeles Kings. The Lightning have followed a 10-game winning streak by losing three of their past five contests (2-2-1), including a 3-2 overtime setback in Dallas on Monday. Steven Stamkos tallied twice against the Stars, and he carries a four-game point streak (three goals, three assists) into the encounter at Los Angeles.

Stamkos began his streak with a goal in Tampa Bay’s 4-3 shootout victory against the Kings on Jan. 14, a game in which the captain also scored the deciding goal in the extra session. Reigning Hart Trophy recipient Nikita Kucherov also scored a goal in the first meeting with Los Angeles to begin his four-game point streak (five goals, two assists).

The Los Angeles Kings aim to snap a season-high-tying, four-game winless skid (0-3-1) on Wednesday when they return from their league-mandated break and the All-Star festivities to host the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Kings last played on Jan. 18, when they dropped a listless 4-1 decision in Philadelphia to mark their seventh defeat in eight games (1-6-1).

Dustin Brown scored against the Flyers to extend his point streak to three games (two goals, one assist), a stretch that began with a goal against Tampa Bay in a 4-3 shootout loss on Jan. 14. Captain Anze Kopitar, who leads the team in goals (17), assists (26) and points (43), will play in his first contest since setting up four tallies to help the Pacific Division team win the NHL All-Star Game tournament.
