Leicester vs Chelsea FC

Chelsea Odds Against Leicester City

Chelsea travels to the King Power Stadium to take on third-placed Leicester City where a win for the home side can take them 11 points ahead of Chelsea and almost certainly consolidate third in the Premier League.

Both sides played on the weekend in the FA Cup fourth round following their league matches in mid-week.

Chelsea gave up two leads to end up drawing 2-2 with Arsenal that increased their winless run in the league to two games and just one win in their last four games. They then traveled to face Sky Bet Championship club Hull City in the fourth round where they defeated the home side 2-1 to advance to the fifth round.

Goals by Michy Batshuayi and Fikayo Tomori was enough for Chelsea to get one step closer for a chance at a trophy in Frank Lampard’s first season as head coach of Chelsea.

Their opponents on Sunday claimed their first in three in midweek after a 4-1 thrashing of West Ham.

Despite injuries to Premier League top scorer Jamie Vardy and midfielder Nampalys Mendy in the first half, Leicester managed to claim the win through goals from Harvey Barnes, Ricardo Pereira, and an Ayoze Perez brace.

They now sit just three points behind Manchester City in second place and a renewed fight for second is back on after Leicester’s emphatic win.

The Foxes were back in action on Saturday with a trip to Sky Bet Championship side Brentford. Kelechi Iheanacho’s goal in the fourth minute was enough to seal the win for the away side as they advance to the fifth round of the FA Cup.
