The Los Angeles Kings attempt to match a season-high three-game winning streak when they visit the Vegas Golden Knights. The Kings, who previously won three in a row from Nov. 12-16, posted a 2-1 victory over Pittsburgh on Wednesday before needing overtime to record the same result three days later against New Jersey.

Adrian Kempe notched his 100th career point after scoring in overtime on Saturday as Los Angeles improved to 5-2-1 in its last eight games. The 23-year-old Swede’s tally was his first since he scored twice in a 5-2 victory over Vegas on Jan. 9.

The Vegas Golden Knights are bidding for their franchise-best ninth consecutive victory. Reilly Smith boosted his point total to eight (six goals, two assists) in his last seven contests after scoring twice in Friday’s 4-2 win over Buffalo.

The eighth straight victory matched the Golden Knights’ previous best run, set from Dec. 14, 2017-Jan. 2, 2018. Defenseman Alec Martinez has collected two goals and four assists in five games with Vegas since being acquired from the Kings on Feb. 19 for a pair of second-round picks. The 32-year-old had just eight points (one goal, seven assists) in 41 games with Los Angeles this season.
