The Kings mustered just seven goals during their five-game losing skid before posting a 5-3 victory over Calgary on Wednesday.

Jonathan Quick will look to snap an eight-start winless stretch (0-7-1) on Saturday when he faces the Avalanche, against whom he owns a 17-6-1 record with two shutouts in 25 career appearances.

Colorado Avalanche Preview

The Colorado Avalanche look to return to their winning ways on Saturday against the Los Angeles Kings in the 2020 NHL Stadium Series at the U.S. Air Force Academy’s Falcon Stadium in Colorado Springs. The Avalanche squandered an early two-goal lead and saw their five-game winning streak come to a halt following a 3-2 setback to Washington on Thursday.

Nathan MacKinnon, who leads the team in goals (32) and assists (48), carries a six-game point streak (two goals, six assists) into the Saturday contest after setting up both first-period goals against the Capitals. Linemate Mikko Rantanen has scored a goal in back-to-back contests to move one shy of 100 for his career.
