The Philadelphia Flyers look to continue their meteoric rise on Thursday when they host the Carolina Hurricanes. The Flyers posted a 5-2 victory at Washington on Wednesday to extend their season-high winning streak to seven games and move within one point of the first-place Capitals in the Metropolitan Division.
Philadelphia has scored at least four goals in each game during its winning streak. Travis Konecny notched his club-best 24th goal on Wednesday to boost his point total to 17 (seven goals, 10 assists) in his past dozen contests. The promising 22-year-old also leads the team with 61 points, including two goals and three assists at the expense of Carolina in three encounters this season.
