Memphis Grizzlies at Los Angeles Clippers

Memphis Grizzlies Preview

Rolling before the All-Star break, the Memphis Grizzlies look to get back on track now that their downtime has ended. The Grizzlies enter a road game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday having lost consecutive post-break games in California, the most recent Friday against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Grizzlies won eight of 10 games heading into All-Star festivities and now will try to avoid their first three-game losing streak since early December. Rookie Ja Morant had 17 points against the Lakers, essentially his season average (17.6), but went 5 of 14 from the field. The Grizzlies won on the Clippers’ home court in January after losing at home in November.

Los Angeles Clippers Preview

The Los Angeles Clippers will continue to conduct chemistry experiments when they play host to the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday. The Clippers fell 112-103 to the Sacramento Kings on Saturday and are now on a season-worst three-game losing streak dating back to before the All-Star break.

The Clippers are trying to integrate new acquisitions Marcus Morris and Reggie Jackson into the flow, all as Paul George is dealing with another hamstring injury. Kawhi Leonard scored 31 points in the loss to the Kings and said after the defeat that getting the team on track needs to happen sooner rather than later.
