Golden State Warriors at Sacramento Kings
Golden State Warriors Preview
The Golden State Warriors look to end a four-game losing streak when they visit the Sacramento Kings on Monday. The Warriors have won 11 of their past 12 visits to Sacramento, but they own the second-worst record in the NBA this season as they play without star guards Stephen Curry (hand) and Klay Thompson (knee).
Golden State lost 111-104 to the Detroit Pistons on Saturday when its reserves outscored the starters 77-27. Shooting guard D’Angelo Russell (shoulder) hopes to return after a three-game absence. Guard Alec Burks scored 27 points off the bench against the Pistons for his 10th 20-point effort of the campaign.
Sacramento Kings Preview
The Sacramento Kings look to defeat the Golden State Warriors for the second time this season when the teams meet Monday in California’s capital city. The Kings routed the Warriors 100-79 on Dec. 15 in San Francisco despite committing 29 turnovers, which ties for the most in an NBA game this season. The win was just Sacramento’s fourth in the past 25 meetings with the Warriors.
Forward Harrison Barnes matched his season best of 30 points on Saturday, but the Kings succumbed 117-115 to the visiting New Orleans Pelicans for their ninth setback in the past 10 games. Backup guard Bogdan Bogdanovic (ankle, flu) could miss his second straight game. Sacramento is 0-6 when he sits out.
