Vegas Golden Knights Preview
The Vegas Golden Knights look to ride the momentum of a perfect five-game homestand into Sunday’s road contest against the Anaheim Ducks. Max Pacioretty, who leads the team with 29 goals, scored in his third straight game in Saturday’s 5-3 victory over Florida to boost his total to eight tallies in his last eight contests. The 31-year-old has collected an assist in each of the three meetings this season with the Ducks.
Reilly Smith scored twice in the third period against his former team on Saturday to tie his career high with 25 goals on the season. Smith also extended his point streak to four games (four goals, one assist) heading into the contest with Anaheim, against which he has scored one goal and set up three others.
Anaheim Ducks Preview
The Anaheim Ducks aim to locate their missing offense and snap a three-game losing skid on Sunday when they host the Vegas Golden Knights. The Ducks were shut out twice in five outings and for the fourth time this season on Friday, courtesy of a 1-0 setback to the Colorado Avalanche.
Anaheim has been outscored 11-1 in its past three home games overall and has just one win in regulation at Honda Center since Dec. 27, when it posted a 4-3 victory over Vegas. Adam Henrique, who leads the team with 21 goals, scored in that contest and has two tallies in three encounters with the Golden Knights this season.
