Seattle Dragons at Houston Roughnecks

Seattle Dragons Preview

The Seattle Dragons (1-3) hope to find some offense and end a two-game skid when they face the XFL’s only remaining undefeated team on Saturday in Houston. The Dragons could have a quarterback change coming after Brandon Silvers was benched last week at St. Louis for B.J. Daniels, whose rally fell short in a 23-16 loss to the BattleHawks.

Silvers finished 4 of 10 for just 40 yards. Daniels was 5 of 10 for 100 yards, a touchdown and an interception and added seven carries for 84 rushing yards. Seattle remains the league’s only team yet to score 20 points in a game, but Houston has allowed at least 20 in three straight.

Houston Roughnecks Preview

The Houston Roughnecks (4-0) aim to remain the league’s only undefeated team when the Dragons visit on Saturday. The Roughnecks’ offense cooled just a bit last week at Dallas, but the defense forced five turnovers, including the go-ahead fumble return for a touchdown and the clinching fumble recovery in the fourth quarter of a 27-20 victory.

Quarterback Phillip Walker went 25 of 41 for 239 yards, two touchdowns and an interception and still comfortably leads the league in passing yardage (987) and touchdowns (12) while throwing just two interceptions. Walker’s favorite target, wideout Cam Phillips, still ranks first with 333 receiving yards despite being limited to one catch for 9 yards last week.
