Seattle Dragons at DC Defenders Odds
Seattle Dragons Preview
The Seattle Dragons roll into their inaugural game under head coach Jim Zorn, who named Brandon Silvers his starting quarterback over B.J. Daniels after a training camp battle. Silvers, an undrafted product out of Troy in 2018, never caught on in the NFL but saw time for the AAF‘s Memphis Express last spring, going 80 of 125 for 799 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions.
One of his main offensive weapons will be former Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds, a wide receiver who is also expected to be used on returns and gadget plays. The defense is led by former NFL defensive tackle Will Sutton, defensive end Stansly Maponga and linebacker Steven Johnson.
DC Defenders Preview
The DC Defenders head into their XFL opener with several big names leading the way. Cardale Jones — who spent three-plus years in the NFL but played in only one regular-season game — will start at quarterback for the team led by coach Pep Hamilton.
Jones has some weapons at receiver in former Pittsburgh Steeler Eli Rogers and NFL journeyman Rashad Ross, who starred in last spring‘s AAF by catching 36 passes for 583 yards and seven touchdowns for the Arizona Hotshots. DC also has talent on defense, with former NFL safeties Matt Elam, Rahim Moore and Shamarko Thomas and former New York Giants defensive tackle Jay Bromley.
