Dallas Mavericks at Golden State Warriors

Dallas Mavericks Preview

The Dallas Mavericks will attempt to complete a three-game sweep of the season series when they visit the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night. Dallas recorded two blowout victories by an average of 34 points — 142-94 at home, 141-121 at San Francisco — over Golden State earlier this season. Star point guard Luka Doncic averaged 33 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds in the two games but is coming off a poor shooting performance.

Doncic was just 4-for-15 from the floor while scoring 19 points on Dallas’ 109-91 home win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday. Power forward Kristaps Porzingis (knee) has missed the past seven games, but he returned to practice on Monday and is expected to return against either the Warriors on Tuesday or the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday.

Golden State Warriors Preview

The Golden State Warriors aim to halt their season-high, eight-game losing streak when they host the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night. The Warriors haven’t lost nine in a row since Stephen Curry’s rookie season of 2009-10. Earlier this season, Golden State was mauled 142-94 at Dallas and later lost a 141-121 home decision to the Mavericks.

Shooting guard D’Angelo Russell (shoulder) returned from a six-game absence to score 34 points on Sunday in the Warriors’ 122-102 loss to the visiting Memphis Grizzlies. Russell has scored 30 or more points in four of his past five appearances. Power forward Draymond Green is in another lackluster offensive stretch, averaging four points on 6-of-27 shooting over the past five contests.
