Dallas Cowboys at Chicago Bears

Dallas Cowboys Preview

The Dallas Cowboys look to rebound from consecutive setbacks when they visit the Chicago Bears on Thursday night. Dallas scored just 24 total points in the two games despite having the NFL passing-yardage leader in quarterback Dak Prescott (3,788).

The future of Jason Garrett is a hotly discussed topic but owner Jerry Jones is backing his coach and proclaimed Garrett’s job is safe for the time being. Running back Ezekiel Elliott is 10 yards away from his third career 1,000-yard rushing season while wideout Amari Cooper needs 29 to reach 1,000 receiving yards for the third time. Linebacker Leighton Vander Esch (neck) will miss his third consecutive contest.

Chicago Bears Preview

The Chicago Bears seek their fourth victory in the past five games when they host the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night. Chicago seemed on its way to a long season when it lost four straight games to drop to 3-5 but it has entered the NFC wild-card chase due to the turnaround.

Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky battles consistency issues but was on his game by passing for a season-best 338 yards to go with three touchdowns in a 24-20 road win over the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day. Pass rusher Khalil Mack (6.5 sacks) leads a unit ranked fourth in scoring defense (17.3) but Chicago could be without linebacker Danny Trevathan (elbow) for the fourth straight game.
