Boston Celtics Preview

The Boston Celtics aim to stretch their winning streak to seven straight games when they visit the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday. The streak is Boston’s second-longest of the campaign behind a 10-game run that followed a season-opening loss. All-Star forward Jayson Tatum has tallied at least 20 points in each of his past eight appearances, and he was superb on Friday when he made a career-best seven 3-pointers and scored 32 points in a 112-107 home win over the Atlanta Hawks.

Tatum is 17 of 32 from 3-point range over the past three games. All-Star guard Kemba Walker had 15 points in 30 minutes after missing three games with a knee injury.

Oklahoma City Thunder Preview

The surprising Oklahoma City Thunder look to record their fifth consecutive victory and 10th in 11 games when they host the Boston Celtics on Sunday. Oklahoma City is a season-best 12 games above .500 and currently occupies the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference playoff race. Point guard Chris Paul recorded 22 points and seven assists in Friday’s 108-101 victory over the visiting Detroit Pistons, in a game in which five players tallied at last 16 points.

Second-year guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 21 points for his second straight 20-point game. Reserve guard Dennis Schroder scored 20 or more in eight straight contests before being limited to 18 by Detroit.
