Milwaukee Bucks vs Charlotte Hornets

Milwaukee Bucks Preview

Giannis Antetokounmpo will be a little closer to home Friday night when the Greece native leads his Milwaukee Bucks into a matchup against the Charlotte Hornets in Paris. It will be Antetokounmpo’s second career game in Europe after the Bucks defeated the New York Knicks 95-79 in London in January 2015.

The reigning NBA MVP is averaging 30 points, 12.9 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game this season and is coming off a triple-double Monday with 28 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists in a 111-98 victory over the visiting Chicago Bulls. Khris Middleton added 24 points as the Bucks’ 1-2 punch has guided the team on a seven-game winning streak.

Charlotte Hornets Preview

In their first-ever regular-season game in Europe, the Charlotte Hornets will take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday in Paris. Consider it a welcome change of pace for a team on a seven-game losing streak. The opponent won’t do them any favors, though, as Milwaukee already won an earlier matchup 137-96 at home on Nov. 30.

The Hornets will enter off a 106-83 defeat to the Orlando Magic on Monday when Malik Monk scored 20 points and P.J. Washington added 19. Terry Rozier had just four points and did not make a field goal for the first time this season. The game will be a homecoming for the Hornets’ Nicolas Batum, who was born in Lisieux, France.
