David Krejci boosted his point total to seven (four goals, three assists) in his past six contests by scoring a goal in Boston’s 4-0 home victory over Vancouver on Tuesday. Jaroslav Halak, who is expected to draw the start in net on Wednesday, owns an 8-2-3 record with two shutouts in 14 career appearances versus Chicago.

Chicago Blackhawks Preview

The Chicago Blackhawks attempt to rebound from just their second loss in eight games (6-1-1) when they host the Boston Bruins on Wednesday. Patrick Kane saw his 12-game point streak come to a halt in Chicago’s 3-2 overtime setback at Minnesota on Tuesday. Kane notched an assist in the Blackhawks’ 4-3 overtime win over Boston on Dec. 5, a game capped by captain Jonathan Toews scoring 54 seconds into the extra session.

Toews has been held off the scoresheet in each of his past three contests and resides one point shy of 800 for his career. Brandon Saad set up Adam Boqvist’s third-period goal against the Wild to boost his point total to five (four goals, one assist) in his past five games.
