St. Louis Blues at Colorado Avalanche
St. Louis Blues Odds
The St. Louis Blues look to regain their footing following a brief misstep when they continue their three-game road trip on Thursday against the Colorado Avalanche in Denver. The Western Conference-leading Blues saw their season-high, eight-game winning streak halted on Tuesday with a 3-1 setback against the Arizona Coyotes. Tyler Bozak scored in the first period to boost his goal total to five in his past seven games.
Brayden Schenn, who saw his five-game point streak come to an end versus the Coyotes, scored in St. Louis’ 3-1 home victory over Colorado on Oct. 21. David Perron also tallied in that contest and recorded a hat trick in the Blues’ 5-2 home win against the Avalanche on Dec. 16 to ignite a six-game point streak that came to a halt on Tuesday.
Colorado Avalanche Odds
The Colorado Avalanche’s ascent within the Central has been slowed by four straight losses to division rivals as part of their current 1-4-1 stretch. The Avalanche aim to get back on track Thursday when they host the St. Louis Blues, against whom they have dropped both contests this season. Nathan MacKinnon boosted his team-leading totals in goals (24) and points (58) by scoring twice in Colorado’s 7-4 setback to the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday.
The former top overall pick also tallied in the Avalanche’s 3-1 road loss to St. Louis on Oct. 21 and set up Mikko Rantanen’s power-play goal in a 5-2 road setback to the Blues on Dec. 16. Nazem Kadri scored in the latter meeting versus the Blues and had a goal and an assist Tuesday against the Jets.
