Philadelphia 76ers at Brooklyn Nets

Philadelphia 76ers Preview

The Philadelphia 76ers snapped a six-game road losing streak on Saturday, creating the chance to build a rare winning streak away from home. Monday’s matinee against the host Brooklyn Nets offers the chance to do just that against a familiar foe. The 76ers topped the Nets by 11 at Wells Fargo Center just five days ago.

Matisse Thybulle has recorded at least one steal and one block in each of his past five games and leads all NBA rookies with 16 such games. Ben Simmons has scored at last 20 points in his past four games for a career-best stretch. Furkan Korkmaz has finished in double figures in three straight games.

Brooklyn Nets Preview

The Brooklyn Nets will look to end a three-game losing streak on Monday as they entertain the Philadelphia 76ers in the teams’ second meeting in five days. Point guard Kyrie Irving has led Brooklyn in scoring in three of four games since missing nearly two months with a shoulder injury. Irving led the Nets with 17 points and six assists in Saturday’s 117-97 home loss to Milwaukee.

The Nets remain without Joe Harris (lower-back soreness), DeAndre Jordan (dislocated right middle finger) and Garrett Temple (right knee bruise), but coach Kenny Atkinson said it was possible Harris and Temple could suit up against the 76ers. Brooklyn is 11-10 at Barclays Center.
