Philadelphia 76ers Preview

Aiming to salvage a victory in the finale of their four-game road trip, the slumping Philadelphia 76ers head to Milwaukee for a Thursday game against the NBA-best Bucks on a three-game losing streak. The 76ers were blown out 137-106 at Miami on Monday, taking their fourth defeat in six games. Philadelphia, which boasts an NBA-leading 22-2 home record, has lost 10 of its past 12 on the road.

The woes away from Wells Fargo Center include nine double-digit defeats among 18 road losses. On Monday, Ben Simmons attempted his first 3-point shot since Dec. 10, but missed a potential buzzer-beater at the first-quarter horn. Guard Josh Richardson will miss his sixth straight game Thursday due to a left hamstring strain.

Milwaukee Bucks Preview

The Milwaukee Bucks will shoot for their 17th victory in 19 games when they host the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night. Giannis Antetokounmpo enters play with a four-game streak of contributing at least 30 points and 15 rebounds after collecting 34 and 17, respectively, on Tuesday in the Bucks’ 120-108 win at New Orleans.

The Bucks lead the NBA with an average of 120 points per game and have produced 110-plus points in 11 straight contests. Milwaukee accomplished the feat in 15 consecutive games earlier this season. Brook Lopez is averaging 2.6 blocks per game, which ranks second in the league. Khris Middleton is averaging 30 points in his past four games.
