THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 5TH
GREEN BAY PACKERS @ CHICAGO BEARS
GREEN BAY WIDE RECEIVER DEVONTE ADAMS
TO HAVE AT LEAST 1 RECEIVING TOUCHDOWN -125
Devonte Adams to Score at Least One Touchdown is this week’s Thursday Night Football Prop Bet of the Week
Devonte Adams is an excellent No. 1 receiver for Green Bay and quarterback Aaron Rodgers, but Adams is at his best when the Packers play in primetime: last year versus the Bears in Week 1, Adams found pay dirt on a Sunday night game, and in a 2017 Thursday night matchup against Chicago, he also hauled in a touchdown grab. Overall, Adams has five receiving touchdowns in his last six games against “The Monsters of the Midway.” He is also pretty solid come the postseason, where he has four receiving touchdowns in six career games.
In last year’s two matchups versus the Bears, Rodgers targeted Adams 21 times and while hauling in eight receptions in both contests. Rodgers in those games actually targeted Randall Cobb more than Adams and Geronimo Allison, but Cobb is now in Dallas so Rodgers will be expecting big plays from Adams in the season opener.
Adams is a bonified number one stud receiver who has 35 receiving touchdowns over the past three seasons. In this season opener, look for Rodgers to consistently turn to his go-to guy in Adams; Rodgers has confidence in Adams and knows he shows up in big-time games. Not only that, but Adams knows how to make plays in the red zone and will continue to do so, getting in the end zone at least once on Thursday night.
