What: UFC 250
Where: Las Vegas, Nevada
When: June 6, 2020
After three exciting cards in Jacksonville, Florida Dana White will have the UFC in Las Vegas for a second straight weekend. UFC 250 is in the perfect location and it’s amazing how it has grown into what it is today.
This should be a fantastic night of fights with three fighters enter Saturday night undefeated, highlighted of course by the headliner Amanda Nunes returns to action in the octagon. The even better news is there are plenty of fights on the docket and I have my selections for Saturday. As always, my hope is I can add to the fun with some nice priced winners for you.
UFC Women’s Featherweight Title Best Bet: Nunes vs. Spencer Odd
-Amanda Nunes (-500) vs. Felicia Spencer (+400)
-200 Over 1.5 Rounds
+165 Under 1.5 Rounds
Felicia the “FeeNom” Spencer is an impressive 8-1 and might be able to stick around in this fight. In Nunes’ last seven fights, the fights have either ended in the first or the fifth round. This fight will be closer than many expect as Spencer will show off her talents, but eventually lose a close fight by decision.
Harry’s UFC 250 Best Bet: -500 Nunes & -200 Over 1.5 Rounds
Alonzo Menifield (-215) vs. Devin Clark (+175)
Menifield is 9-0 with all his wins coming by way of submission or TKO. Clark is just 2-2 in his last 4 fights. Both fighters’ measurements are the same so rolling with the undefeated fighter seems like the smart play.
Harry’s UFC 250 Pick: -215 Menifield
Cody Garbrandt (-145) vs. Raphael Assuncao (+115)
-115 Over 2.5 Rounds
-115 Under 2.5 Rounds
These two guys come into this fight having lost a combined five straight fights. Garbrandt has a three-inch reach advantage, but has lost three in a row after an 11-0 start to his career. The over might be a better bet here than picking a side as both might come out tentative and are just waiting for the right opportunity.
Harry’s UFC 250 Pick for the Garbrandt Fight: Over 2.5 Rounds (-115)
Ian Heinisch (-125) vs. Gerald Meerschaert (-105)
-185 Over 2.5 Rounds
+150 Under 2.5 Rounds
GM3 has an almost 6-inch reach advantage on “The Hurricane” Heinisch. Heinisch has lost two in a row and his last four fights have gone the distance.
Harry’s UFC 250 Best Bet: Meerschaert (-105) & Over 2.5 Rounds (-185)
The Rest of the Best of Harry’s UFC 250 Picks
Alex Perez (-140) vs. Jussier Formiga (+110)
Both gentlemen come into this brawl with 23 career wins under their belts. Formiga has lost two in a row, meanwhile, Perez won in the first round over Jordan Espinosa in his last fight.
Harry’s UFC 250 Pick: -140 Alex Perez
Charles Byrd (-170) vs. Maki Pitolo (+140)
These two fighters both possess orthodox stances and are basically the same size. This is a tough fight to dissect but I’ll take the underdog Pitolo here based on his almost 3-inch reach.
UFC 250 Pick: +140 Maki Pitolo
Neil Magny (-150) vs. Anthony Rocco Martin (+120)
Rocco Martin’s last 10 fights have ended in the third round. Magny is only 4-3 in his last seven ventures but he does have three inches in height and a seven-inch reach on Rocco Martin.
UFC 250 Pick: -150 Neil Magny
Aljamain Sterling (-125) vs. Cory Sandhagen (-105)
-195 Over 2.5 Rounds
+160 Under 2.5 Rounds
The 28-year-old Sandhagen is four inches taller than his opponent and has seven wins in a row. His last victory was in August over Raphael Assuncao who just happens to be on this card on Saturday night. In Sterling’s last six wins, five of them went the distance, so the over looks like the play here.
The UFC 250 Pick: Cory Sandhagen (-105) & Over 2.5 Rounds (-195)
Harry’s “Fishy” Line, Underdog Pick, and Lock of the Night for UFC 250
Chase Hooper (-155) vs. Alex Caceres (+125)
This line is way too… LOW! Hooper is 9-0-1 and Caceres is an unimpressive 15-12. In Hooper’s nine wins, seven of them have come by TKO or submission. Caceres is just 5-7 in his last 12 fights, so why is he only a +125 underdog? This line should be higher and because it’s not, I’m going to bank on Caceres to show up in this situation.
Get That Fish on the Hook: +125 Alex Caceres
Harry’s Lock of the Night
Sean O’Malley (-450) vs. Eddie Wineland (+325)
This should be an easy win for O’Malley who is 11-0 and has a three-inch reach in this fight. Wineland has lost two of his last three bouts and in seven of O’Malley’s 11 wins he has ended it in the first round.
UFC 250’s Lock of the Night: Sean O’Malley (-450)
Harry’s Underdog Play of the Night
Cody Stamann (-275) vs. Brian Kelleher (+215)
First off, Stamann has not fought since December of 2019 (a draw versus Song Yadong). Next and more importantly, Kelleher is 11-3 in his last 14 bouts and his last two victories were a 1st round submission win and a second round TKO.
Harry’s UFC 250 Underdog Bet of the Night: +215 Brian Kelleher
Enjoy the fights everyone and hopefully you will love some of my 14 picks for UFC 250. Let us continue to stay positive, do the right thing, and hopefully sooner than later we will have more sports to watch and bet on.
